It wasn't your body.

It was the pants.

There's a very specific kind of betrayal only snow pants can deliver. We're calling it Pants Trauma. #pantstrauma

69% of women have torn their snow pants.

Not from a fall – from bending to buckle a boot, lunging off a chairlift, sitting down in the snow. The ordinary movements of a day on the mountain.

That's not bad luck. That's a pattern built for a body that doesn't move the way women's bodies actually move.

Ripped crotch. Snow down the backside. A waist gap you had to stuff with a sweater. Sizing up three sizes just to get past your hips, then drowning in the legs.

Whatever happened to you on the mountain – tell us your #pantstrauma – we're collecting stories for what comes next.

I'm Maria, the founder of Nobody's Princess.

I split my own snow pants in the crotch on their first day of wear – and it wasn't the first time it had happened to someone I knew. I spent years watching women come off the mountain with the same stories: the waist gap, snow down the backside, the belt done up so tight it hurt, sizing up three sizes just to get past the hips.

So I drew three separate patterns instead of one, for three different body shapes, with three real leg lengths. Not a body problem. A pattern problem.
